Tiger Safari Tour of Tadoba

Tiger Safari Tour of Tadoba National Park

The pristine and distinctive eco-system known as Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve is located in Nagpur, Maharashtra State, India's Chandrapur district. The Reserve is rich in biodiversity and home to some of the greatest woodland trails. It is renowned for its rich natural history. After Melghat Tiger Reserve, Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) is now the second tiger reserve in the State. The Reserve spans 625 square kilometres. This contains the 116.55 sq. km. Tadoba National Park, was established in 1955, and the 508.85 sq. km. Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary, was established in 1986. 14.93 sq. km. of other sites and 32.51 sq. km. of protected forest are also included in the Reserve.

Seasonal changes affect Tadoba National Park's safari times. However, due to the fact that it is an animal breeding season during the monsoon season, the park (only core area) is closed to visitors.

  • The park is open from the first of October until the last day of June.
  • The morning jeep safari in Tadoba National Park runs from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM throughout the winter months.
  • The evening safari, however, begins at 2:00 PM and lasts until 6:00 PM.
  • The safari is planned from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM for the morning batch and from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM for the evening batch during the summer months.

At Tadoba Forest, there are four entry points: Moharli, Kolara, Navegaon, and Pangadi. Although the woodland region is reachable from each of the four entry sites, they are all separate entry points to the forest. The entrance to the Core Zones of the Forest is through these four access points.

At Tadoba, there are a lot of Buffer Zones in addition to the Core Zones. In contrast to other Forests, Tadoba is renowned for having excellent Tiger sightings in the Buffer Zones. Moharli and Kolara are regarded as the Premium Entry Points among all of the Zones. Additionally, there are a lot of high-quality lodging options near these two gates.

These areas have many water bodies, thus there are more possibilities than in other areas to see wild animals surrounding these water bodies. When choosing the Core and Buffer zones, extreme caution is required. Due to the difficulty of travelling between several entrance gates, you must choose zones near to your resort. Since they are quite far away from each other, you might have to go far before Tadoba National Park's true jungle safaris. Therefore, be careful when choosing Jungle Safari Permits.
